My Buddies Amos & Mr. Coca-Cola

One... more... hour... and then I'm out of this joint! Too bad the weather is so crappy! It's been rainy and overcast all day, and it's supposed to rain on Saturday... what the heck?? I feel like it rains one day of every weekend here. What's up w/that??

So I needed a little afternoon pick-me-up (my lingo for a vending machine raid)... I should've been deterred by the fact that the snack machine kept rejecting my brand new $1 bill, but I was determined. Luckily (or maybe unluckily?), I had change, so I got a bag of Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies (these are really growing on me -- literally!), and the ubiquitous can of Coke. Now, I feel a little revived... at least enough to finish the boring task I am working on today.

About vending machines... I feel like the one in my office should be stocked with diet suppressants or something. Throw in a little green tea, some Ephedra, even a little Hoodia, and you're good to go. Maybe even add some laxatives and a pair of rubber fingers that you can buy to gag yourself with and induce vomiting. Seriously, though... Everyone is always on a diet, including my male, married boss. Earlier in the week, he had to leave early because he had taken some Hydroxycut and thought he was going to die or something. Then on Wednesday, he started taking Hoodia, so he's been giving me the mealtime update. ("I only had a little bit of rice and a piece of meat for lunch, and I'm not even hungry!") What's up with that? Since when is it ok for guys who aren't even fat to be so caught-up with their weight? Strange...

All right, I'll stop critiquing others' weight obsession and weight-loss methods and get back to work! Talk to you this weekend!

I wouldn't like to work with people on a diet, they are way too nervous!

Yes, completely! They are SO annoying to deal with, too!
