New Hairstyle and Makeup (w/pics)

I finally, finally, finally made it to a proper salon today! I went to the TiGi Academy on Madison Avenue, where they train all of the Toni & Guy stylists across the nation. The two guys who were cutting today were total London hipsters, except unlike the unwashed miscreants (guess what movie that is from?) on this side of the Atlantic, these guys could've also been male supermodels or something. Crazy!

Anyway, I asked for an "elongated mullet-shag with long bangs that cut across my face," and I think that's what I got. He took out a lot of the weight at the bottom of my hair, so hopefully, that will cut down drying time!

I also went to Barneys this afternoon, and of course, I had to stop by the NARS counter to see the new summer collection. In this pic, I'm wearing one of the new eyeshadow duos, the cream blush, and the new lip lacquer (don't remember the names). I ended up buying all three items.

Thanks to everyone who has made my birthday special! Thanks, Lee, for the beautiful flowers that you sent me at work yesterday!! What an awesome, awesome surprise!!

*smooches!*

Pre-B-day Dinner at Perry Street (w/Pics)

Here are the pics from last night's dinner at Perry Street. The first pic is right at the front of the restaurant, near the lounge area. We didn't see any celebrities, LOL! The space was cool (on the ground floor of the Richard Meier towers, where Jean Georges himself lives), and the food was yummy!! We started off with crab cake dumplings, and I had a glass of pinot noir (gotta have the red wine!) Jarrett is on antibiotics for a sinus infection, so he just stuck to Pellegrino. For entrees, Jarrett got the lobster, and I got seared sea bass. And then for dessert, we each got a pot of tea -- Jarrett had orange jasmine; I had green tea -- and he had the chocolate pudding with crystallized violets, and I had the angel food cake with honey and grapefruit. Good eats!!

The second pic was taken in the apartment after we got back, and as you can see, I look tired, and my makeup has faded!

Anyway, for the food, I'd definitely recommend Perry Street! I can't wait to try the 50 other Jean Georges restaurants!
